Hackathon – Final Pitches
11. Oktober 13:30 Uhr – 14:45 Uhr
How can weather forecasting be improved? Find out in the closing talk on the final day of the hackathon challenge!
Accurately predicting rainfall is challenging because radars measure reflectivity rather than direct rainfall, and environmental variations further complicates this conversion. The RainQuest hackathon aims to address this problem by developing models that integrate precise point measurements from rain gauge data with radar reflectivity, which offers better measurement resolution. By combining these data sources, the goal is to enhance the precision of precipitation estimates and improve weather forecasting.
Are you interested in machine learning and data science or have you taken part in the last few days’ hackathon?
