SUMMARY:ENZo Lecture special | "Research-to-Action"
DESCRIPTION:Bild: © ENZo – KIT Graduate School Enabling Net Zero\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe KIT Graduate School ENZo invites you to the ENZo Lecture special: „Research-to-Action“ at TRIANGEL on 5 February at 5 pm. \n\n\n\nHow are research results implemented\, how do we reach society with our topics and how do we put technical solutions into practice? The ENZo student teams addressed these questions as part of their Real World Projects (RWP). After an exciting year of idea development\, prototyping and testing\, challenges and highlights\, the first ENZo doctoral student teams present their results. \n\n\n\nThe next cohort of RWP teams\, the class of 2023/24\, has also already embarked on the journey from research to active action and application and will present their first project ideas. \n\n\n\nThe presentations will be complemented by an appreciation from the KIT Vice President for Transfer and the ENZo management\, a keynote speech from an intrapreneur from science and a panel discussion on the importance of practical projects for academic education. We hope for lively feedback and contributions to the discussion from participants. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProgram\n\n\n\nTimeTopicSpeaker(s)5 pmWelcome5:05 pm The ENZo RWPs: History and importance for KITThe Role of the ENZo RWP for Intrapreneurship and Transfer at KITENZo and the Idea of RWPsProf. Dr. Thomas Hirth\, Vice President KITProf. Dr. Jörg Sauer\, Sc. SUMMARY:World Science Café | Crossroads of Culture: A Journey from Ukraine to Germany
DESCRIPTION:Bild: KIT / INTL\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nInternational Affairs (INTL) invites you to the World Science Café on the 6th of February starting at 6 pm. \n\n\n\nCome and join us for a concise exploration of the crossroads where cultures meet\, weaving together past\, present\, and academic aspirations. Associate Professor Dr. Ivan Balykin will speak on „Crossroads of Culture: A Journey from Ukraine to Germany“\, as well as the intersections of his personal and professional life\, unveiling the transitions from Ukraine to the scholarly landscapes of Germany and his aspirations for the future in Germany\, from immersive teaching methods to co-founding the educators‘ community at NGO „Progresylni“. He will present his current research on „Memory and Ideological Legacies“\, understanding the intricate connections between memory narratives\, social movements\, and identity politics \n\n\n\nDr. Ivan Balykin is currently Research Associate at the Chair of Contemporary History\, University of Mannheim. Find out more about the speaker here. \n\n\n\nThe talk will be presented by Professor Dr. Caroline Y. Robertson-von Trotha\,  KIT Distinguished Senior Fellow. \n\n\n\nParticipation is free. \n\n\n\nWorld Science Café\n\n\n\nIn the event series World Science Café\, fled and threatened scientists offer insights into their research. In line with the title-giving café concept\, a brief outline will be followed by a discussion about the state of academia in the speakers’ country of origin\, in dialogue with a partner who is familiar with the situation in the respective country. What are the consequences a society faces when scientists are unable to continue research in their own country? How can threatened scientists be enabled to continue their work in Germany? How do they enrich and amplify the academic world and German society? \n\n\n\nFind out more here. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVeranstalter\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVeranstaltungsort

SUMMARY:Gemeinsam Stadt_Machen: Was bewegt die Südstadt?
\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVeranstalter\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVeranstaltungsort
